Our therapists are skilled in treating all sports conditions. We use the most current technologies and evidence-based treatment methods to help you regain strength and movement and get you back to your sport.

Balance and Vestibular Disorders

Problems with balance, dizziness, unsteadiness and difficulty walking cause many people to limit their activities and can greatly affect one’s quality of life. At RehabVisions, our therapy staff have specialized training in treating all types of balance and vestibular-system disorders including:

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)
  • Concussion
  • Labyrinthitis
  • Vestibular neuritis
  • Migraine-related dizziness/vertigo
  • Balance and difficulty walking
  • Postural control

Pain Management

Pain, whether chronic or acute, can be frustrating and debilitating. Low-back and neck pain are common ailments for many people. Studies have shown that physical therapy is the most effective first step in reducing or eliminating this type of pain.

We ensure a safe workplace and healthy workforce through work fitness, skilled therapy interventions and specialized return-to-work training. Al Laubenthal, PT
Clinic Manager

Al Laubenthal graduated from St. Ambrose University in 2002 with a degree in physical therapy. With nearly 20 years of experience — over a decade of which has centered around serving patients in the Marengo community — Al’s expertise in helping his patients improve movement, manage pain and recover from injury, surgery or illness is second to none in the area.

Carrie Karsten

Carrie serves as RehabVisions’ Administrative Assistant. She has been with RehabVisions since 2014. As the first face our patients see at the clinic, Carrie strives to make each patient experience as stress-free and pleasant as possible from beginning to end.

Jenn Osborn, PTA

Jenn Osborn graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2006. She has been practicing in the Marengo area for over a decade. Jenn works closely with her patients to provide individualized treatments that optimize health, recovery and performance.

What To Expect

Good Faith Estimate

Your therapist will complete a comprehensive evaluation of your condition and discuss your goals for therapy. At the conclusion of your appointment, your therapist will explain your personalized treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.

You will most likely be treated by both a therapist and therapy assistant. This team approach is part of the collaborative nature of therapy. They may give you at-home exercises you should do as assigned for your quickest and fullest recovery.

If you are receiving physical or occupational therapy services, please dress in loose-fitting clothes you can move comfortably in and wear tennis shoes.

To run an efficient practice for all patients, our schedules are strict. Please call if you are going to be late and let us know 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule.

If you have difficulty attending the frequency of appointments your therapist recommends because of scheduling conflicts or financial concerns, please let us know so we can work toward a better treatment plan for you.
